They have makeup at wal mart different varieties for woman of color but I would go for the medium shades and I love fusia lip stick i think its pretty. I am american indian myself so its hard for us to find the right shade..Belks will make you up and tell you the right make up for your skin type or even an avon lady

WELL I WOULD SUGGEST YOU DO LIKE A BROWNISH,BRONZE COLOR FOR EYE SHADOW.APPLY A LITTLE BLUSH DONT GO OVER BOARD,UMM IF YOUR LIPS ARE PINKISH THEN GO FOR A LIGHT PINK LIP GLOSS,BUT IF THEY ARENT THEN TRY A CLEAR LIP GLOSS AND FOUNDATION TO MATCH YOUR SKIN TONE

corals and golds look great on cheeks ( as a blush )
olive greens and frosty colors (on eyes, liner)
shimmery colors! like bronzes, sapphire blue, emerald are good on eyes. (as a eyeshadow)
since your skin is darker, it can handle bright, beautiful, and shimmery tones.
for lips, use coral pinks, and you can brush on a little bit of sparkle.

I have the same problem maybe this can help

    Eye Shadow:
You’ll look best in forest green, medium purple, deep plum, medium blue, slate blue or gunmetal gray shades of eye shadow. Choose one shade only to use at a time and apply it all over eyes, from lash-line to brows.

    Mascara:
Apply one coat of brown/black or black mascara.

    Lip Color:
You shine in sheer lip glosses in shades of light brown, bronze or raisin red.

    Special Occasions:
You’ll stand out in a metallic silver or metallic plum eye shadow on lids. Rim the inside of your lower lids with silver or purple eyeliner, and apply a coat or two of black mascara to top lashes. Keep lips shiny and pretty in a sheer burgundy or wine-red gloss.

i been reading this book it said

    CHEEKS

*Orange-y peach colors willl really work with your skin

    * fake the look of a golden tan with bronze and gold blushes.

    [eyeshadow]

*define your eyes in a way that looks very natural with a brown shadow thats infused with shimmer
    (shimmering green, blue or puple)
    [you be amazed]

*highlight your brown bones with a light brown shimmery
shadow thats a few shades lighter than your natural skin
    tone

Use dark mascara on your upper and lower
    shades =)
