What makeup foundation works best for oily/greasy skin?

I have medium skin, and it is sort of oily, not terribly, but it is still there. The foundation that I have now is from the makeup counter at lancome, and by the end of the day, it feels greasy on my skin. I don’t want to use liquid foundation, but I need to know if a different brand would better suit my skin’s needs. Thanks!

I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown’s makeup line. All her stuff is really light and natural, great for your skin type. Plus, they have a ton of shades.
I think it’s being marketed at either Macy’s or Nordstrom’s right now, just have the girl at the counter match you to your type.

If you can get your hands on the NEW bee luscious Mineral Photo Touch Foundation OMG you will be floored. Because I am a makeup artist I was able to sample this product and it is OMG better than airbrush.

    You should use mineral foundation.

It doesn’t clog pores and reduces shine on your face.

ELF sells cheap. like. 5 bucks. :]

I know how you feel – aghh liquid foundation feels so nasty! and after scouring through all the liquid foundations, I finally tried to go onto powder formulas to tame my oily skin. I tried M.A.C studio fix powder foundation, and though it was okay, it was just sooo heavy and cakey. Then i tried on some more powder foundations but found they all looked cakey. I was about to try cream foundation and mousse foundation, but when i sampled those, they ended up being waaay too greasy for my skin. Then FINALLY, i tried MINERAL FOUNDATIOn, and absolutely fell in love. I really like bare minerals foundation, and it simply works with any skin type, espcially oilier skintypes. It just glides on and sets – plus it stays put even after you’ve sweat, so no more touch ups throughout the day. Give it a try – its a bit more expensive (about $36 in canada), but if you are not satisfied with it, you can simply return it within 60 days guaranteed. you got nothing to lose right?

It isn’t the brand of foundation thats the main problem but the type.

If you want a good finish on your skin stick with liquid foundation, but to help with that oil used a loose powder with your make up routine. like a primer. The powder will soak up most of the oil. Than in the day time when your out get a pressed comapct powder and apply it to your most oily spots. You don’t have to necessarily wait until your face is oily but after your done eating or after a longtalk session. Where your face is “working out”

You can get a powder the same colour as your foundation or a transparant one.

    Hope this helps.
