What kind of mirror/lighting is best for telling if your makeup looks good?

In one mirror (bathroom) I look greasy and orange. In another, my face looks flawless. What gives? I don’t know which one to trust!

that’s a tricky one…u can’t trust mirror
get the small ones where if you flip it over you can see relaly opclose it comes iwth a light if anything you shoul dget a mirror and take it outside in the light it works

wow i have the same problem..the bathroom one makes me look like im wearing 50 pounds of makeup, but the one in the hallway and in my room makes me look better so i just go with those 2..i try to stay away from the bathroom one haha i wish i knew which one was right..

Well, whichever one has brighter light, or a natural window nearby.
I say, trust the one you look good in because I’m sure you do! 
I got this mirror that has a light on the outside of it, and it’s really good to tell what you actually look like in person.
You can get them at Target.
You should just buy a small mirror and do your makeup by natural light. By natural light I mean the sun, which means you could do it by a window or outside. It seems weird, but its the best way to tell if your makeup is perfect.
ill say stand infront of a window and get a regular mirror cause the one in the bathroom its bright so when you go outside your makeup will look all different
Natural lighting…….. so use a mirror by a window so the sunlight (which is the most usual lighting) can allow you to check your makeup. But, also florescent lighting works well to see everything very clearly (like in dressing rooms)
I have the same problem sometimes..I have taken a mirror outside and that’s the one I trust
Most people will tell you fluorescent and they mite be right. BUt take a hand mirror outside, its the natural REAL light! BTW.. beauty is inside.. not out!
It’s best to apply your makeup by the window, so natural light comes in.
get a handy mirror or a compact with a mirror and go outside. you need daylight to see how your make up really looks like.
