the best thing to do would be go in they could match you skin to the right one or call and ask how much it costs for there cheap and most expensive kinds give you an idea.
hope that helps
It doesn’t cost a thing to have your foundation picked out for you at Merle Norman. Most of the time the complimentary makeup applications are free too. Some stores will do a “free with purchase of $30″ deal for a complete makeup application, ie they are doing your make up for a date or special occasion. Merle Norman Gold Medallion stores are not allowed to charge for “makeovers”. The girls in the stores USUALLY are not makeup artists although MN is one of the RARE counters who have the option of giving their girls actual artistry training in addition to product knowledge. Also, MN is one of the few lines who will hire Pro’s on as staffers. Most companies shy away from that and just want beauty advisors. Either way, if you ask for help with what eyeshadows look good, it’s free. If you ask for lipstick help, it’s free. If you need help picking a foundation and matching color, it’s free. They are also one of the few counters that keep the product they use in makeup application BEHIND the counter so it’s not had everyone’s fingers in it and they scrape the product off rather than use straight from the testers so no bacteria gets into it.
Depending on the foundation you pick they can sometimes give you samples to try first as well. Foundations generally range in price from $15-$35 but that varies by state and area. MN’s are franchised so they have to mark it up a certain percentage but after that it’s up to them if their area has higher rent then it’s more expensive or if they have low rent then it’s the suggested retail price MN sets for them.
