How come my makeup looks flaky?

So I apply my moisturizer and then I prime my face. I apply my foundation and then it looks flaky and dried. It doesn’t look pretty at all. Is there any product I can put on my face like the MAC fluid thing. Any suggestions?

Exfoliation is the answer – use a hot wet clean flannel to gently rub dry your skin – but gently! Better still, soak your face first to make the skin soggy, then exfoliate with the hand towel. Your skin will be smoooooth.

I usually end up starting cheap and trying out a few different ones. Do what fits your situation and Im pretty sure your instinct will be right.

it is deff dry skin. i have this problem also. exfoliation is correct!! i would suggest using st. ives apricot gentle scrub. dry your skin and apply your moisturizer, give it awhile to absorb into the skin before you use your primer. if you are using powder foundation, switch to liquid. powder will absord all of your moisturizer. a good moisturizer would be suave cocoa and shea butter lotion, its body lotion, but it works amazing, and i even have acne prone skin. i usually cleanse at night when removing my makeup (with st. ives apricot cleaser) and scrub in the morning. so that my face is nice and smooth for makeup application.

    hope that helped sweetie!

usually flakiness is a result of excess dead skin…try exfoliating it…doesn’t have to be anything expensive…you can use…sugar, salt or i find this works the best and leaves you with a glowing complexion…mix borax and peroxide together to form a paste…apply it to your skin and leave on for about a minute then scrub your face really well with it and wash off…hope this helps oh and also make sure you’re using the right type of moisturizer. i don’t know what skin type you have so i can’t recommend one…
